Mo's Challenge # 91

Black & White

Our hostess, Cathy, has asked that we make our projects this week in all shades of black and white (like an old B&W photo) with an embellishment in a contrasting color. Since I don't care for gray skin, I usually use an animal for this type of challenge. Luckily, Mo has plenty of animal images that work! If you have Bella and Bronte images, you could crop out Bella and use just Bronte.

I used one of the cats from Mo's "Fat Cat" set. There are five different cat images in the set, each one as cute as the others!

The inside says, "But you've aged so purr-fectly! Happy Birthday!"

Images: "Fat Cat" from Mo's Digital Pencil, Digital sentiment fro TLC

Tools: Copics, Cuttlebug with Craft Concepts embossing folder, Marianne swirl die, Nesties circles, ovals, and Daisy die, Martha Stewart Border punch, Mounting tape, Red marker

Papers: SU! Basic Black, Neenah smooth white, Paper Pizzazz black Gingham

Embellishments: Red gingham ribbon, Narrow gray satin ribbon, Polka dot brads, Tiny rhinestones

Now it's your turn to try your hand at this challenge. Grab one of Mo's great images and get coloring! Your entry might be the random winner of a free image!

Thanks for stopping!
Elaine

Hi Elaine...I like your idea of doing a black and white animal...but I don't do fur! hehehe! So I'm sort of stuck with the grey skin thing! LOL! I love your card...and your coloring is just perfect!! Love the pop of color too...and the gingham is perfect!! And that sentiment...cracks me up!! Hugs. Pat

Love this card, Elaine, and everything you used to put it together. My dear friend would surely enjoy this since she's a cat lover. Awesome card.

You worked very well in only two colors, your coloring is perfect as usual. It is so cute. I like your idea of using contrast color in this black and white.
