Challenge 101

The Colors of Autumn

Iulia has provided us with a picture of a gorgeous flower bouquet as inspiration for Mo's Challenge this week.

I've used Mo's image of this daring young man called...what else?..."Dare"! I've paired him with some digital images of old fashioned elements and used colors from Iulia's inspiration photo.

Beautiful, isn't it?! Fall is my favorite time of year here in New England...the colors of the leaves are just so amazing, and our scenery is breath-taking!

Images: "Dare" from Mo's Digital Pencil, Sundial from Beyond the Fringe Crafts, Pocket watch from the Graphics Fairy, Antique book (unknown), Saying from Sentimental Sundays

Tools: Copics, Gold gel pen, Cuttlebug with Embossing folder and Nestie oval, Mounting tape, Tacky tape, Ink pad, Sponge dauber

Papers: SU! Soft Suede, Wild Wasabi, Dusty Durango, Neenah smooth white

Embellishments: Twill tape

I hope you'll join us in Mo's Challenge this week. We'll be looking forward to seeing your fall creations using one of Mo's great images!

Thanks for visiting!

Such an Attitude!

Oh, Boy!

Iulia is our hostess this week, and she's asked us to make cards or projects that show a boy's attitude!

I've used Mo's "William and Jeffrey" for my card. I think this exhibits an attitude of mutual love and admiration, which our boys felt for each other when they weren't killing each other! LOL!
I found this image on an old site of Mo's and immediately shot her an email to ask  her to make it available as a digital image. She graciously agreed! The image is from a manuscript she did probably twenty years (or more) earlier. I thought that was interesting, because the kids' clothes don't look dated at all! She says there are more of this cute duo, but she has yet to locate the drawings. I'll be waiting!

Images: "William and Jeffrey" with the sentiment from Mo's Digital Pencil

Tools: Copics, Prismacolor pencil, MS Zig-zag border punch, Sponge dauber

Papers: SU! Soft Suede, Yo-yo Yellow, Neenah smooth white, Basic Grey DP

Embellishments: Grosgrain ribbon, Brad, Buttons

Now grab one of Mo's fabulous little boy images and join us in Mo's Challenge for a chance to win a free image of your choice! We're also looking for another Guest Designer, so, if you're interested, just a be sure to label your entry with the letters "GD".

So happy you dropped in!

So Sketchy!

Mo's Challenge #97

The challenge Iulia, our hostess, has for us this week is to follow a sketch. I love sketch challenges. They take most of the guess work out of putting a card together.

I've used  Mo's "Nesto" for this card. Isn't he a hoot?! Mo does such a wonderful job of capturing kids playing and using their fertile imaginations! With a pail on your head, you can be anything!

Images: "Nesto" from Mo's Digital Pencil, Seashells by Guy Gordon from Making Our Mark, Sandcastle (unknown source)

Tools: Copics, White gel pen, Cuttlebug with Nesties and Embossing folder, Oval Punch, Mounting tape

Papers: SU! Only Orange, Garden Green, Neenah smooth white, Basic Grey and Cosmo Cricket DP

Here's Iulia's great sketch!

It's your turn! Grab one of Mo's images and use this sketch to create a card to enter in Mo's Challenge!

See you there!
