Mo's Challenge # 90

Vintage

Our hostess, Cathy, gave us the challenge this week is to make something with a vintage look using distressing and lace.

Mo just came out with another great image based on her grandmother called "Mummu in Summer."

I have most of her images of this wonderful old girl...I just love the spirit she portrays!

I hit the ribbon with a quick blast from a heat gun to 'age' it. Careful! If you hold it just a fraction of a second too long, it will melt!

The inside says, "Hope you will always have time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life."

Tools: Copics, prismacolor pencil, Martha Stewart border punch, Distressing tool

Papers: SU! Cool Caribbean, Not Quit Navy, Mauve Mist, Neenah smooth white, Basic Grey DP

Embellishments: Cameo charm, Pearl cabochons, Sheer ribbon, Lace trim

This was fun for me, and now it's your turn!
Join us in Mo's Challenge for a chance to win one of Mo's great images!

Thanks for looking!
Elaine

Elaine,
May I say that second to Belle and Bronte, Mummu is a favorite of mine. I am waiting for the right moment to use her in a card and story line. I love this new summer image of her. And I can imagine that somewhere in Mummu's collection (probably in a well loved box) she has a little bit of lace and a well loved cameo from her Mummu. I enjoyed seeing her image featured this way.

Wow your coloring is amazing. This is my favorite card of yours. I love the coloring on her skirt. Great Job.

I, too, love the Mummu images. This one is colored beautifully and she looks like she is having so much fun. Beautiful card, Elaine. Love the $1.00 digi image, too. Must get that one. TFS!
