Mo's Challenge #111

The Great Outdoors!

Pat has another great theme for Mo's Challenge this week! I thought it was going to be difficult to find an appropriate image, but I found several of Mo's images that would be perfect! I settled on this one of Bella and Bronte on a camping trip. My husband takes the grand-kids camping several times every summer, just as he did with our children, so I had to get this the moment I saw it!

I used a stylus to emboss the die-cut branches and leaves to give them some texture. Looking at the card now, I wish I'd run the stars through the Cuttlebug to make them more interesting, too.

Images: "Camping" from Mo's Digital Pencil, Digital sentiment, unknown scource

Tools: Copics, Prismacolor pencils, Cuttlebug with Embossing folder and Nestibilities, Cricut with Bloom and George cartridges, Crimper, Embossing stylus, Tacky tape, Mounting tape

Papers: SU! Ruby Red, Garden Green, Mustard, Cocoa, Wood grain CS, Neenah smooth white

Embellishments: Grosgrain ribbon

Here's another card using Mo's cute snowman. The trees in the background are from Just Inklined.  I may get my Christmas cards done in time!

Images: Snowman from Mo's Digital Pencil, Snowy Pines from Just Inklined, Digital Sentiment

Tools: Copics, White gel pen,  MS Snowflake and Snowflake border punches, Corner rounder

Papers: SU! Bashful Blue, Neenah smooth white, SU! DP

Embellishments: Rhinestones, Stickles

With winter almost upon us here in New England, only the most intrepid souls will be venturing out into the great outdoors, but you can grab one of Mo's wonderful images and join us in this week's outdoor adventure!

Love it when you visit!
Elaine

Both cards are fantastic, the first is just so adorable, and a perfect reminder of camping out with the grand kids. As for me, well I need my indoor plumbing to say the least. Now your second card, well, my dear sweet friend it is just such an elegant Christmas card.. Whom ever gets it, is very lucky.

Both cards are delightful Elaine; love the dimension in the first one; you've really succeeded to create a camping picture; great idea to emboss the branches and leaves and this Mo image is sooo cute!
The second one is a perfect Christmas card; thanks for the link to Just Inklined; I'm having a hard time finding backgrounds for my images; these trees are awesome;
Beautiful work sweetie!

You did pick the perfect images.. I love the camping one. We used to spend hours out in a tent when I was little. That is one thing about Mo's images they evoke such great memories. I really like the scene behind your snowman. Great job Elaine.
