Mo's Challenge # 108

How Fancy!
Pat Frank is our hostess for Mo's Challenge this month,  and her first challenge for us is to create a card using a fancy fold.  I usually stick to making regular cards that are 5 x 7, so this was a real challenge for me.

I needed a baby card, so I chose "Spit Happens" for my image, because it just makes me smile! It also reminds me of our oldest grandson when he was a baby....his head was huge and round! He ran everywhere, and being so top-heavy, he fell all the time! His poor noggin was always getting banged up! He's eleven now, and, luckily, he grew into his head! LOL!
This is a gate-fold card that measures 5 x7 when closed.

This view shows the card open. The right-hand flap slides between the image panel and the left-hand side to keep the card closed.

Tools: Copics, Prismacolor pencil, Nellie Snellen Embossing leaf punch set, , MS lace border punch, Cuttlebug with Nestie label die, mounting tape, Glue dots

Papers: SU! Pacific Point blue, Daffodil, Gable Green, Neenah smooth white, My Mind's Eye Stella Rose DP

Embellishments: Prima Sprite flowers, Flower brads, Metal letters, Narrow ribbon, Lace

I was the opposite as a child. I think my head always looked a bit small and these days my head seems to be getting smaller and smaller in comparison with my body! How strange is that! Tee hee!

Two delightful cards! Love the pink and blue one and your gate fold is adorable. Lovely colour work throughout and great candy too! Thank you for the opportunity! Hugs, Lesley

Hi, Elaine! You have two delicious cards here! Great color choice for your baby card; loved hearing about your grandson growing into his head...lol. I guess all babies are a bit disproportionate ...lol, Mo is a great character illustrator, that's a fact. Your cards are always so delicate- look at that adorable image in the second card and the frilly ribbon- also you always set them against superb backgrounds!
It's a pleasure to come by- have a great end of the week sweetie!
Hugs, Iulia
