Mo's Challenge # 103

Patch Things Up!

I'm hostess for Mo's Challenges this month, and for this week I've chosen the theme of "Patchwork."
You can use one of Mo's images that contain a quilt, quilt-patterned designer paper, or, as I have done, make a patchwork quilt background for your image panel.

I love crazy quilt backgrounds because I get to use up some of my ever-growing stash of DP scraps!
It's very easy to do, and you don't have to be very fussy with it. I cut a piece of computer paper the size that I want the patchwork to be,  pick out several scraps of DP patterns that go well together, then glue the papers down, overlapping the edges and making sure to cover the computer paper completely.  Don't worry about going beyond the edges of the base paper, because that gets trimmed before it's mounted on the card front. I like to machine stitch the design before mounting it, but you could use faux stitching, piercing, or leave it as is.
I hope you'll give it a try...it really is fun!
